be held the third Thursday of each month in the Patient and Family Resource
Center's conference room in the N.C. Cancer Hospital. Sponsored by the Comprehensive
Cancer Support Program. The class will be held from noon until 1pm.

FREE - Lymphedema Precautions and Prevention Class
This is a designed for patients at risk for lymphedema following cancer
surgery involving lymph node dissection. You will learn the cause
and symptoms of lymphedema, limb care for lymphedema prevention, activity
and exercise guidelines, prevention exercises, and guidelines for early
detection.
Therapists: Theresa Gilliam, MS, OTR/L, ATP, CLT-LANA and Kaye Harris, PT,
CLT First Wednesday of each month, 1 - 2 p.m.

FREE - Meditative Yoga
A calming, stress-relieving yoga class to stretch and strengthen the body
gradually. Meditation practices will be included using techniques
to guide the mind into stillness. This class is recommended for all
people looking for a soothing, relaxing, and restorative experience.
FREE - Yoga for Everyone
Join us if you are new to yoga or want to expand your strength, stamina,
and flexibility as you integrate a wider variety of poses and learn breathing
techniques to calm the mind. Each class will include a full yoga practice
as well as delve deeper into one of yoga's tool – physical movement,
meditation, breathing techniques, and relaxation. All levels are welcome.
