A case for smiles: ConKerr Cancer Volunteers Visit N.C. Cancer Hospital

Several ConKerr Cancer volunteers visited the N.C. Cancer Hospital in September 2010, bringing smiles and pillowcases.The ConKerr Cancer organization’s pillowcase project started in 2002 and has since provided over 240,000 pillowcases made by volunteers to chronically ill children. Cancer Hospital in September 2010, bringing smiles and pillowcases.In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, ConKerr Cancer volunteers, Mary Ellen Melchiorre and Trish Verne spent Tuesday, September 28th in the Pediatric Oncology Clinic sewing personalized pillowcases for young patients at the N.C. Cancer Hospital.
