In memory of his wife, Ulda Datiles established a Nutrition Library in the Patient and Family Resource Center.
Ulda Datiles, Chapel Hill, NC wanted to honor his wife of 32 years, Zeny Datiles. Zeny had been a dietician and manager of Food Services Production at UNC Hospital before she passed away from cancer in 2005. Ulda and other family members decided to fund a nutrition library in the Patient and Family Resource Center in her memory. The growing library collection helps patients and their caregivers know what they can eat to stay strong – both as they fight cancer and after they are finished with treatments to promote good health and prevent cancer from returning.
