Wren Foundation, Inc.
When William (Billy) Wren founded Wren Foundation, Inc. in 1963, he had been a successful entrepreneur in Siler City working in the family pet food and poultry business. He and his wife Marion were excited about the ability to give back to their community and the people of the state they loved. Over the next four decades the family foundation touched countless lives through grants and gifts to worthy causes throughout North Carolina, including UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Today, the Wren's daughter, Margaret de St. Aubin makes sure the family tradition of philanthropy is kept alive and well. One such tradition Margaret is determined to continue is the steadfast support of UNC Lineberger. On a recent visit to the N.C. Cancer Hospital with her husband Denis, Dr. Stuart Gold, chief of the division of pediatric oncology, led the tour. The de St. Aubins were touched by the importance of the clinic dedicated to the very youngest of cancer patients and decided to name the Private Infusion Room for the Foundation. Margaret feels certain her father Billy would approve wholeheartedly.
