UNC Health Care will offer free screenings during Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week, on Wednesday, April 13, from 1 - 4 p.m. in the Ear, Nose, & Throat Clinic on the ground floor of the N.C. Neurosciences Hospital. Every adult is a candidate for testing. Tobacco and alcohol users traditionally have been considered the populations at greatest risk for these cancers.
Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with Christine Rini, PhD. Participants will learn to assess the different types and sources of social support, identify reasons why getting and giving social support is a complicated activity, and employ strategies for helping to ensure that patients get effective support that provides them with the emotional and practical coping assistance they need. RN/Allied Health lectures offer ANCC and ASRT continuing education credit (upon approval) for eligible participants. While we invite anyone interested to view our lectures, participants wishing to obtain credit should be connected to a physical site with a coordinator. Please contact us for more information and to be connected with your site coordinator.
