May 19, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM

Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online, interactive lecture with David W. Ollila, MD and Andrea Saccone Snyder. According to the Melanoma Research Foundation, over 160,000 Americans are expected to be diagnosed with melanoma. Learn about early detection methods from non-traditional healthcare providers and the therapeutic progress in metastatic melanoma. Community Lunch and Learn lectures are geared toward cancer patients, survivors, family, friends, and care givers/supports but anyone interested in learning more about cancer is welcome to join us. For this lecture, we also encourage attendance of hairstylists, barbers, and cosmetologists to learn about the role these professional can play in screening for melanoma and other skin disorders. This lecture will provide a certificate of participation from the NC Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners for eligible participants. Every lecture has a question and answer section at the end so feel free to ask the presenter for clarification or more information. Lectures are viewable online via GoToWebinar or by participating in the lecture at one of our designated viewing sites. Please contact us for more information about GoToWebinar registration or to be connected with a site coordinator near you.
