On Monday, June 8, the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina will host a breakfast celebration in honor of National Cancer Survivor's Day. The breakfast will be held at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel in Raleigh. The event will be free for all lung cancer survivors and one additional guest, but pre-registration is requested.

Held at the William and Ida Friday Center in Chapel Hill, this special celebration of life is free and open to all cancer survivors and their caregivers. The event will include interactive workshops on a broad range of topics - from physical activity and nutrition to work issues, fun activities and a keynote address from UNC Women's Basketball Coach and cancer survivor Sylvia Hatchell. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

This conference is open to all health care professionals at all levels including patient navigators, oncology nurse navigators, community health workers, administrators, clinic nurses, social workers, case managers, care coordinators, chaplains, health educators, lay volunteer patient navigators and anyone who works with screening, prevention and the care of patients with cancer. There is a $10 registration fee. Lunch will be provided. Seating will be limited.

Ask the Doctor is a national series of two-hour, topic-specific community based-programs that provide an update on lymphoma treatment by a medical doctor with an extensive question-and-answer session. The meeting will take place on Thursday, June 4 at the Courtyard Marriott in Chapel Hill. The program is offered free-of-charge to lymphoma patients and caregivers, however, pre-registration is required.
