Leading-edge Breakthroughs, N.C. Cancer Hospital Headline Clinical Symposium

UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Clinical Symposium, Translating Scientific Advances into Clinical Care for Cancer, was held in Chapel Hill November 6-7, 2009. More than 130 physicians, nurses and oncology professionals were in attendance.

Matthew Cotter, PhD, Regional Medical & Research Specialist at Pfizer Oncology, presents UNC’s Richard Goldberg, MD, and Edison Liu, MD, Executive Director of the Genome Institute of Singapore with plaques recognizing the 2009 Pfizer Visiting Professorship in Oncology, which supported Dr. Liu’s participation in the symposium and other activities at UNC Lineberger.
Dr. Shelley Earp congratulates Nancy Davenport-Ennis, founder and executive director of the National Patient Advocate Foundation, who was the featured speaker at the symposium dinner, held at the N.C. Cancer Hospital.
