Head for the Cure is heading to North Carolina to watch the Tar Heels take on the Blue Devils on Saturday, Sept. 23. Join them for a tailgate before the game for free food and beverages. You may also purchase game tickets for $20 each through their ticket block by Sept. 15.

The Blue Blood Rivalry 5K Run/Walk is taking the UNC vs. Duke rivalry to the streets of Chapel Hill to benefit UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Duke Children's. Kick off the morning of the UNC vs. Duke football game by giving back and having a blast.

Pedal for Peds is a day of cycling and celebration to bring awareness of childhood cancers and benign blood diseases by raising funds to support research that will improve patient outcomes. Participants can bike up to 50 miles on the beautiful American Tobacco Trail, or take part in hourly spin classes and yoga sessions. The event benefits the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at UNC Hospitals.

This year the team will participate in the Raleigh walk on Oct. 22 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. Everyone is welcome to sign up to join the team. They also are looking for people who wish to donate on behalf of the team.

The UNC Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology is proud to present the 7th Annual Pedal for Peds Bike Ride. The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at UNC's Cary Wellness Center. Ride 7, 10 or up to 50 miles on the beautiful American Tobacco Trail. Participants are welcome to ride all or part of the route. 100 percent of all proceeds raised by this event will be used to support our mission to care for and cure all children with cancer and blood disorders in the state of North Carolina.

Take the Initiative! By joining and fundraising for the Lung Cancer Initiative's Raleigh LUNGe Forward, you create hope for all those affected by lung cancer in North Carolina. This year's event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 25 at North Hills in Raleigh. The top ten fundraising teams will be acknowledged on event day. Fundraising will remain open through the end of the year.
