The UNC Oncology Excellence Awards recognize employees at UNC who are devoted to the care of individuals with cancer and to the oncology specialty. There are separate categories for nursing and administrative/clinical staff. Join us in the main lobby of the N.C. Cancer Hospital on October 15, 2015 from 4-5 pm to recognize winners of the award.
The 9th Chapel Hill Pharmaceutical Sciences Conference will be held at the Carolina Club, Chapel Hill on Thursday, October 15. The theme of the Conference is Frontiers in Chemical Biology: Transforming Drug Discovery. Featured speakers include Kevan Shokat (UCSF), Tom Muir (Princeton), Donald McDonnell (Duke), Bryan Roth (UNC), Stephen Fesik (Vanderbilt), Brian Shoichet (UCSF), Stephen Frye (UNC) and Tom Kodadek (Scripps). The registration is free, but is required by September 30 to attend the Conference. There is also a poster session at the Conference, and all posters are eligible for competition of poster awards. Students and postdoctoral fellows are highly encouraged to submit poster abstracts.
