Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with Matthew Milowsky, MD, for a talk on the most notable genitourinary oncology findings presented at ASCO. Medical and Surgical Oncology lectures offer CNE, ASRT, and CME continuing education credit (upon approval) for eligible participants. We invite anyone interested to view our lectures. Lectures are viewable online via Zoom Webinar or by participating in the lecture at one of our designated viewing sites. The inaugural North Carolina Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology Symposium will bring together multidisciplinary providers from across the state who are interested in improving care for this patient population. With a focus on collaboration and education regarding the unique medical and psychosocial needs of AYAs in North Carolina, this knowledge-based symposium will feature a mix of didactic lectures, breakout sessions, and working groups. Participants will take away practical ideas to improve care for AYAs at their institution. Additionally, connections will be made that will foster future research and collaboration among North Carolina institutions.

Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online, interactive lecture with Nicole Sartor, RN, MSN, C-PNP-PC. DESCRIPTION. Community Lunch and Learn lectures are geared toward cancer patients, survivors, family, friends, and care givers/supports but anyone interested in learning more about cancer is welcome to join us. Every lecture has a question and answer section at the end so feel free to ask the presenter for clarification or more information. While these lectures are viewable online, we recommend watching them at one of our Community Lunch and Learn sites. Please contact us for more information and for assistance locating a site near you.

UNC Cancer Care is hosting its annual UNC Cancer Survivors Day from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 9, at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill. Event highlights include a keynote talk by Chris Draft, Cancer advocate, 12 year National Football League veteran and a widower who lost his wife to lung cancer. There also will be interactive educational talks and discussions for cancer survivors and their caregivers. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The event is free, but registration is required.
