Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with Thomas Alexander, MD, MPH. Every year, an estimated 250,000+ new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. This lecture will provide an overview of common pediatric oncology diseases, the general outcomes, and recent treatment advances. Medical and Surgical Oncology lectures offer CNE, ASRT, and CME continuing education credit (upon approval) for eligible participants. We invite anyone interested to view our lectures. Lectures are viewable online via Zoom Webinar or by participating in the lecture at one of our designated viewing sites. The inaugural North Carolina Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology Symposium will bring together multidisciplinary providers from across the state who are interested in improving care for this patient population. With a focus on collaboration and education regarding the unique medical and psychosocial needs of AYAs in North Carolina, this knowledge-based symposium will feature a mix of didactic lectures, breakout sessions, and working groups. Participants will take away practical ideas to improve care for AYAs at their institution. Additionally, connections will be made that will foster future research and collaboration among North Carolina institutions.

Register now to join Team UNC Lineberger for the V Foundation's inaugural Victory Ride to Cure Cancer, benefiting UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, Duke Cancer Institute and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Health. The Victory Ride is a special one-day charity cycling event. You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist to participate in the Victory Ride; you just need to have heart, determination and a commitment to declaring victory over cancer. The Ride will start and end on NC State University's Centennial Campus, near downtown Raleigh.
