“My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago, and my father with colon cancer 11 years ago," says Diane Meiburg. "With my genetic history, when I was offered genetic testing at UNC, I was eager to have it."
Another wise decision, she feels, is making an annual gift to UNC Lineberger. With her unrestricted memorial gift, she supports cancer research. “It’s important for all of us to give. It’s up to an individual to give back part of what they have be it financially or of their time.”
