We’ll award you with a stipend so you can devote yourself to research. We offer career development awards for various stages of your research career in specific categories. There may be changes to specific categories in the coming weeks; please revisit the site for those pending updates.

Scholar

Award: $110,000 per year for five years
Requirements: You must be a highly qualified investigator who’s shown a capacity for independent, sustained original investigation in the field of hematologic malignancies. You should hold an independent faculty-level or equivalent position and have obtained substantial support for your research from a national agency.

Scholar in Clinical Research

**Please refer to the guidelines and instructions for more details regarding changes to the eligibility criteria if applying to this sub-program. To be eligible for a Scholar in Clinical Research Award, Applicants must have been appointed to their independent, tenure-track faculty position on or more recent than January 1, 2006.

Award: $110,000 per year for five years
Requirements: You must be a highly qualified investigator who holds an independent faculty-level appointment and is conducting original, independent applied research, often involving early-stage clinical trials that will advance the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of hematologic malignancies. You’re expected to have concomitant support for your research from another source or agency.

Special Fellow

Award: $65,000 per year for two or three years
Requirements: You must be a qualified investigator who’s completed a minimum of two years of postdoctoral research training and is continuing your research under the research sponsor’s direction. This award is meant to permit you to begin to transition to an independent research program.

New last year: The eligibility has been extended to a maximum of 4.5 years of postdoctoral experience.

Fellow

Award: $55,000 per year for three years
Requirements: You must be a promising investigator with less than two years of postdoctoral research training. This award encourages you to embark on an academic career involving clinical or fundamental research in hematologic malignancies under a research sponsor’s direction.
