Meet Tina Shaban, RN, BSN, OCN
As Manager of Oncology Outreach Services at the N.C. Cancer Hospital, Tina is responsible for the everyday operations of the Comprehensive Cancer Support Program's Patient and Family Resource Center and its wide scope of patient support and education services. Her favorite role remains that of an oncology certified nurse, assisting our patients and families with finding the resources they need to live life fully while undergoing cancer treatment.
Tina is an HGTV fan and loves decorating on a dime. Making something beautiful out of nothing or re-purposing an item brings her great joy. Tina loves photographing people, especially their hard-working hands; reading; cheering for her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers; and spending time with her three incredible children.
“Caring for our cancer patients and their families from all corners of North Carolina, I am humbled by the strength and resiliency that they pull from within, especially in the worst of times," says Tina. " I feel privileged that they allow me to become part of their lives. Knowing each of them has made me a better person and a more compassionate human being.”
