Much of Amy's job involves making sure patients have everything they need to access their treatments and care after they have been diagnosed with breast cancer. She teaches patients about chemotherapy and how to manage its side effects and also provides information about what to expect during and after treatment.
Amy loves to read and spend time with her family - she has five children and three cats! Having moved to North Carolina from Tennessee three years ago, one of her favorite things to do with her family is explore fun places in their new home state.
Amy says her passion is best described by the 14th century poet, Hafiz: “Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, 'You owe me.' Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.”
