Ashley is a Clinical Nurse IV in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She splits her time between administrative duties and staffing the inpatient unit.

Ashley Farmer

"I love my job and the work I do. Nursing allows me to form relationships with my patients so that I may advocate for their needs," says Ashley. "I've stayed in this job because of the patients we serve and the people that I work with."

She has been a part of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit team for nine years.

"Our patients are dealing with an extremely difficult time in their lives and if I can make that experience easier, I know I'm fulfilling my purpose."

Ashley has been married for nine years and she and her husband have a 15-month-old son who brings them joy every day.  She enjoys traveling (with trips to Hawaii, Paris, and Italy already taken, Spain is next on her list), reading (especially mystery thrillers by James Patterson), and scrapbooking.
