Meet Lauria Themes
As an Oncology Patient Coordinator for the Urologic Oncology Program, Lauria provides assistance to new patients scheduling appointments.
"Working for UNC has been a great experience - meeting new people, helping others, providing service to patients, and realizing a smile, a Hello, or just a conversation can make a difference in someone’s day," says Lauria.
Lauria enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to church, traveling and shopping (0ne of her favorite places to check out is Beauty World).
She loves to sing and listen to gospel music, finding it very uplifting and inspiring. That's her approach to another one of her favorite pastimes, reading. She picks books that are encouraging and positive and recommends "Be Yourself, Everyone Else is Already Taken" and "How to Get Out of Your Own Way."
