Martha Tye, RN, BSN
Martha has been a nurse for 27 years and has spent most of her nursing career serving oncology patients. She first transitioned to the Bone Marrow Transplant Department in 2001 while living in Atlanta. When she and her husband relocated to North Carolina in 2010, she joined the transplant team at UNC.
"Working with oncology patients is my true joy and I wouldn’t dream of doing anything else," she says.
When not working at UNC, Martha can be found at home with her husband Roy either gardening, cooking, or watching sports (mostly football and basketball). They have one very spoiled King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Lucy, who basically rules the roost.
