Meet Mary O’Dwyer
A lover of music and dance, it's no surprise that Mary serves on the Board of the LEAF, a non-profit organization established to build community and enrich lives through the Arts – locally and globally – with festivals, community events, and arts in education programs. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, following current events and Tar Heel basketball, and celebrating with family and friends.
"The work we do here applies and advances scientific knowledge and makes a difference: we help people currently dealing with cancer and those who are yet to be diagnosed. We support the work of investigators who are innovative and caring and we engage with oncology researchers at other institutions," says Mary. "These opportunities to learn and to serve make working at UNC Lineberger very satisfying."
