Soraya Visits UNC

Singer-songwriter Soraya, a three-year breast cancer survivor, visited UNC on Friday before her appearance at the NC Triangle Race for the Cure on Saturday, June 12.

She spoke with the audience, performed two songs and signed countless autographs.

She was welcomed to UNC by these three young ladies and received flowers from them.

Carmen Alvarez, a medical translator at UNC and a breast cancer survivor who took part in the Race on the Sole Sisters team, introduced Soraya to the audience.
