The Carolina Indian Circle held its 21st Annual Pow Wow

CHAPEL HILL, NC - The Carolina Indian Circle held its 21st Annual Pow Wow on March 2 in Fetzer Gymnasium. More than 4,000 people attended the annual event, held to teach community about Native American culture and promote unity and friendship among the tribes, particularly N.C. tribes. The event is also a place to pass down traditional culture to future generations and to help UNC recruit Native American students.

Activities included traditional children’s crafts to teach culture, traditional dance and drum competitions, vendors displaying Native American artwork and a health fair in which UNC LIneberger participated.
