Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine Elects Rosenstein Vice President

Chapel Hill, NC - Donald L. Rosenstein, MD, FAPM, Director of UNC’s Comprehensive Cancer Support Program and professor of psychiatry has been elected Vice President of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine.

The organization is made up of individuals who work in consulting psychiatry and is made up of psychiatrists dedicated to the advancement of medical science, education, and healthcare for persons who have both psychiatric and general medical conditions.

Rosenstein joined UNC in January after 17 years at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he was most recently director of the clinical program at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and served as chief of the National Institutes of Health psychiatry consultation-liaison service. NIMH is a component of the NIH.
