Interested in starting a regular exercise program and supporting a good cause?


CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Nearly 1,000 women have improved their overall fitness during the 10-year Sole Sisters program and provided close to $50,000 for Susan G. Komen N.C. Triangle affiliate programs.

Women over the age of 21 who are interested in becoming active and who have no regular exercise program can join Sole Sisters XI exercise program at no cost. The 14-week program will begin on March 8.

At the end of the program, participants aim to complete the Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure on June 11, 2011. Participants will meet every Tuesday evening until the race.

An orientation will be held for those interested in participating from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. on March 1 in the Sunflower Room at the Friday Continuing Education Center. Participants must register for the orientation.
