Whitehurst stands up to cancer through research

Angelique Whitehurst, PhD, and her Stand Up to Cancer research grant were featured in an article in the August 2011 issue of Nature Medicine.

The article talks about her work with CT antigens and her hope that they can lead to new drugs to treat cancer.

She is an assistant professor of pharmacology and a member of UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Earlier this year she was awarded a $750,000 three-year grant from the Stand Up to Cancer Foundation.
