The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) campaign is a national fundraising competition in which participants vie for the title of Man or Woman of the Year. They raise funds for blood cancer research in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors. The titles are awarded to the men and women who raise the most funds during the campaign in their communities. The top local fundraisers in the country also win the national titles.

This year, UNC Lineberger member, Matthew Foster, MD, is running for Man of the Year and raising funds on behalf of Girl of the Year, Maddie, a survivor of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

You can join Dr. Foster in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to his fundraising campaign by May 3, 2014. Every dollar he raises counts as one vote, and the candidate who gets the most votes /raises the most money will be named the Man or Woman of the Year.

All funds go to support LLS programs, including research, patient services, advocacy, public and professional education as well as community services for blood-related cancers. All donations are tax deductible.
