UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center member Jared Weiss, MD is teaming up with the cancer advocacy organization Global Resource for Advancing Cancer Education (GRACE) to offer a free webinar on Friday, March 7, 2014 8:00PM – 9:30PM EST for patients with late stage oropharynx cancer (cancer of the tonsils or base of the tongue). During the webinar, Dr. Weiss, assistant professor of medicine for hematology/oncology at the UNC School of Medicine and Geoffrey Geiger MD, assistant professor of clinical radiation oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania will offer information on treatment options, side effects and the latest advancements in treatment for oropharynx cancer.
