Victoria Bae-Jump, MD, PhD, has recently been awarded two grants to further cancer research initiatives: a two-year, $180,000 Collaborative Funding Grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and a four-year, $800,000 Research Scholar grant from the American Cancer Society.

The two-year, $180,000 North Carolina Biotechnology Center Collaborative Funding Grant, in collaboration with Novatarg Therapeutics, is titled Discovery of Novel, Efficacious and Safe Biguanides for the Treatment of Ovarian Cancer

The four-year, $800,000 American Cancer Society Research Scholar grant, in collaboration with Dhiren Thakker, PhD of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, is titled Obesity, Cation-Selective Transporters and Metformin in Endometrial Cancer.”
