UNC Lineberger’s Director of Cancer Survivorship Deborah K. Mayer was corresponding author of an editorial published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology about errors in studies of cancer survivorship plans.
The editorial, “Avoiding Implementation Errors in Cancer Survivorship Plan Effectiveness Studies,” appeared online in the journal Aug. 24.
Mayer, Ph.D., R.N., AOCN, FAAN, a professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing, director of cancer survivorship at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a leader on research in cancer survivorship.
Mayer co-authored the article with Ron Chen, MD, MPH, a UNC Lineberger member and associate professor in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology, and Sarah Birken, PhD, a research assistant professor in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
