UNC Lineberger’s Yisong Wan, PhD, has been named a member of the Hypersensitivity Autoimmune and Immune-Mediated Diseases Study Section of the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Scientific Review.
Wan is a UNC Lineberger member and an associate professor in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Microbiology & Immunology.
As a member of a study section, Wan will be involved in reviewing grant applications submitted to the NIH, make recommendations on this applications to the appropriate NIH national advisory council or board, and survey the status of research in their fields of science. He will serve in the role from July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2022.
Members are selected for study sections on the basis of their demonstrated competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors.
