Hyman B. Muss, MD, director of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center Geriatric Oncology Program, was honored with the 2015 Glenn-Robbins Award by the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group. Presented to a leader in the field of breast cancer research and treatment, the award was presented to recognize Dr. Muss’ leadership in the field of geriatric oncology.

Hyman B. Muss, MD, director of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center Geriatric Oncology Program, was honored with the 2015 Glenn-Robbins Award by the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group.

The award is named for Frank Glenn, MD, the first president of the New York Cancer Society, and for Guy Robbins, MD, the first president of the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group. It is presented to a leader in the field of breast cancer research and treatment. Since the inception of the award, it has been presented to leaders in pathology, surgical oncology, radiology, radiation oncology and medical oncology. The award was presented to recognize Dr. Muss’ leadership in the field of geriatric oncology.

As the honoree, Muss delivered the lecture “Breast Cancer and Old Women: making the right decisions” April 7 at Weill Cornell Medical College.
