UNC Lineberger member Andrew Wang, MD, has been selected as an associate scientific adviser for Science’s sister journal Science Translational Medicine.

Andrew Wang, MD, has been selected as an associate scientific adviser for Science’s sister journal Science Translational Medicine. Wang was selected as one of 28 early-career translational scientists for the journal’s sixth group of associate scientific advisers, according to the journal. He will serve for one year in the role. In addition to acting as an adviser for the journal, he will also scan the literature weekly to select and summarize research papers to be highlighted in the journal’s Editors’ Choice section.

In addition, he is expected to have approximately seven articles appear in the journal in the year.
Wang is a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, he is an associate professor in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology and he’s an adjunct professor in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Molecular Therapeutics Program. He is also a member of the Carolina Institute for Nanomedicine, the Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery and the Carolina Center of Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence.
