The Cancer Information & Population Health Resource (CIPHR) provides faculty with a powerful resource for supporting analyses of “big data” for population-based cancer research. Its two primary functions are: 1) Support of research methods, systems, and databases to enable efficient, systematic, innovative, and rigorous population-science research using big data sources in and beyond North Carolina, and 2) Maintenance of a substantial multi-payer big data repository of linked, population-based data across North Carolina
