Breakfast Seminar: Andrew Smitherman & Lauren Lux, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology; AYA Cancer Support, UNC

We will discuss (1) What’s the big deal with AYA Oncology and why this population needs a unique approach to cancer care, (2) the UNC AYA Oncology Program, where we are and vision for the future, and (3) an overview of AYA-focused research at UNC with a focus on specific projects examining comorbidities and frailty among AYA cancer survivors and clinical trial enrollment among AYAs.
The Cancer Outcomes Research Program Breakfast Seminar Series is organized by Drs. Ethan Basch, Stephanie Wheeler, and Matthew Nielsen. Please arrive at 7:45am to join us for a hot breakfast buffet prior to the start of our 8:00am meeting. Parking is available at the Rams Head parking deck next door; we will give you vouchers to park for free.
