UNC Health Care Financial Assistance Program

Financial Counselors are available in the NC Cancer Hospital to help you with any questions or concerns you have about insurance co-pays and deductibles, and hospital and physician billing. Questions about your bill?

Customer Services Representatives are available to handle all of your questions Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (800) 594-8624 (toll-free) or (984) 974-2222. If you need help discussing payment options, please ask to speak to a financial counselor.

UNC Pharmacy Assistance Program

Pharmacy financial assistance requires a separate application. See the pharmacy counselor at the main pharmacy, located on the ground floor of the NC Cancer Hospital.

CCSP Patient Assistance Coordinators and N.C. Cancer Hospital Social Workers

The CCSP Patient Assistance Coordinators and N.C. Cancer Hospital social workers can help you find resources that may help lessen the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis. Possible resources include federal, state, and local government benefits and services, and private foundation support. Call the Patient Family Resource Center, which is located on the ground floor of the N.C. Cancer Hospital, for more information at (984) 974-8100.
