A non-denominational chaplain is available at the N.C. Cancer Hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Regardless of religious background or spiritual practice, patients are empowered to take action and use their faith for their own recovery and improved quality of life. Many find that their spiritual life may be strengthened and deepened, and a sense of meaning, purpose and connection can be found during a time of pain and turmoil.
Sacred space is available in the N.C. Cancer Hospital for prayer, meditation and pastoral counseling, including a small reflection/meditation room and a simple, beautiful chapel. These spaces are always open to provide a place of peace and renewal for patients, visitors and staff affected by cancer.
Rev. Patricia Cadle, who has been the Oncology Chaplain for more than 8 years at UNC Hospitals, can now be reached at 919-445-5400 Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the chaplain's office on the lobby level of the N.C. Cancer Hospital.
