Area of interest

Gary L. Johnson, PhD is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Co-Director of the Program in Molecular Therapeutics for the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at UNC-CH. The major focus of Dr. Johnson’s research is defining the function and regulation of cooperative signaling networks in cells and how dysregulation of key nodes in these networks contributes to human disease. He is particularly interested in establishing high throughput methods for discovery based research to define mechanisms of disease using RNAi, small molecule discovery and proteomics.
