Area of interest

My research is focused on improving women’s health by providing sound epidemiologic evidence to guide personal and medical decision-making around breast cancer.  My work addresses hormonally-related factors that are routinely considered during health care delivery (e.g. conservation or removal of the ovaries during hysterectomy, adjuvant endocrine therapy, etc.) and therefore feasibly targeted for future intervention to prevent breast cancer or improve post-diagnosis outcomes.  This research has clinical and public health implications for cancer prevention and improving the long-term health of cancer survivors.
