Area of Interest

Our research group in the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics at UNC-Chapel Hill applies multidisciplinary structural (X-ray, NMR, computational), biophysical, biochemical and cell biology approaches to investigate the RAS oncoprotein, RAS superfamily and heterotrimeric GTPases, as well as the cell adhesion proteins, vinculin and metavinculin. Aberrant regulation of these molecules is linked to a variety of disease states, including cancer, cardiovascular and neurological disorders.
