Hikers Say Hello to Home
From Pamplona to Portomarin, from Sarria to Santiago, from Fromista to Fisterra, a group from Chapel Hill covered a lot of ground this summer, literally.
The group of hikers celebrates reaching the last stop on their trek - Fisterra, also known as Land's End.
The group hiked over 500 miles across Spain, raising close to $5,000 to benefit UNC Lineberger. UNC-Chapel Hill’s popular fan cry of “Go Heels” seems all too fitting for this intrepid group of adventurers.
They returned home on July 25th to an excited crowd of family and friends eagerly waiting to cheer for them and hug them and laughingly tell them that they were going to ride home on the roof of the car (washing machines are not to be found on the trail).
