First Annual Bike Race Benefits Pediatric Oncology
Riders pedaled their way through either a 25 mile or 50 mile loop that began at Mcdougle Middle School and followed paths through Orange and Alamance counties.
Approximately $10,000 was raised to support UNC’s pediatric hematology/oncology division. Funds will provide assistance with such patient expenses as gas, parking, and food; the division’s fellowship program; and small research projects.
