Showing Support Through Song: Local Chorus's Summer Concert Benefits UNC Lineberger
Titled “Strong, Triumphant Women - A Concert to Fight Cancer," the concert featured traditional shape-note hymns, classical works by Mendelssohn and Pablo Casals, and rousing folk songs, among others.
"The music of this concert reflects the strength, grace, and wisdom of all the women who have faced cancer,” said WVC artistic director Allan Friedman (pictured right). “Women's Voices Chorus is proud to perform this concert in honor of these women and their families."
