As an outpatient oncology dietitian in the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program, Jennifer works with patients before, during, and after cancer treatment to identify barriers to good nutrition and to find creative ways to overcome them.

Jennifer describes herself as an easy going, weekend running warrior who loves vegetarian Indian food. One of her favorite things to do is make and decorate holiday cut out cookies with her daughter. She says that dietitians really do eat cookies - ones made with whole wheat!

"I enjoy working at the N.C. Cancer Hospital because our administrators, doctors, and other staff wholeheartedly embrace the importance of nutrition as part of comprehensive cancer care," says Jennifer. "It is humbling to work with our patients. They are so appreciative of even the smallest bit of information I have to offer, and I see that what I do helps with quality of life."
