Joy Ostroff, RN, BSN, OCN® is the Administrative Director for Clinical Research for the UNC Cancer Network (UNCCN) is responsible for oversight of all of the Network’s clinical research activities including day to day staffing and operations, collaborative research relationships with partners such as REX, Pardee Hospital, Southeast Medical Oncology Center, and East Carolina University.
She ensures that the generous patients participating in clinical research across North Carolina are assured the highest degree of safety possible, ensures that network sites practice under IRB approved protocols in compliance with all regulating bodies, and ensures data integrity. As a result, UNC researchers have exported studies throughout the US and UK through the UNC Cancer Network.
Previously, Joy spent 12 years as the facility director for UNC Lineberger’s Clinical Protocol Office, which expanded substantially during her tenure. She has implemented multiple strategic initiatives in compliance, patient safety, use of electronic clinical trials management systems (OnCore) and other key areas.
