The Color Cancer Coalition's national race tour stops in Raleigh on Saturday, March 1.
Every year, the members of Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill hold the Franklin 5K to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. One of the race's beneficiaries is the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center. The course takes runners around the Chapel Hill campus and surrounding neighborhoods. Prizes are awarded to the top runners in each age group at the after race party, which is accompanied by free food and local talent.
Join us on a beautiful spring day to enjoy a double-header and fight ovarian cancer! The UNC softball team will be hosting an Ovarian Cancer Awareness event on Sunday, March 30. The event will coincide with a double-header against Florida State. The first pitch of the game will be thrown by ovarian cancer survivor and UNC softball alumna Jamie Shaver Mayberry.
