The University of North Carolina's Women's Soccer Team has aligned with UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center to help raise continued funds and awareness in the fight against cancer with Project Heel.
Project Heel was developed to kick off UNC Lineberger's Turn The Town Pink which benefits the Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP). The proceeds will benefit the Patient and Family Resource Center which serves as the central location of the CCSP at the N.C. Cancer Hospital.
Support of Project Heel and this program will help patients and their families to combat many of the struggles encountered with cancer care. The assistance that the Patient and Family Resource Center provides is usually free and ranges from scarves and wigs to gas cards and even nutritional supplements. You can provide real help for real patients!
The team will wear pink jerseys for their conference game against Miami at Fetzer Field. A youth soccer clinic will take place immediately after the game.
