N.C. Cancer Hospital: 10 years of hope & healing
This fall marks 10 years since the opening of the North Carolina Cancer Hospital, the state-of-the-art cancer center built by the people of North Carolina for the people.
Faced with a growing population of cancer patients in North Carolina, and an existing care facility that was overcrowded and inadequate for the delivery of modern cancer care, state, local and health leaders used $180 million in public funding to support the construction of the cancer hospital.
