The N.C. Cancer Hospital has done much to further research in cancer. In 2014 I was diagnosed with my second breast cancer (not metastatic). The knowledge, professionalism, and kindness of my cancer care team helped get me through this ordeal. Happy Anniversary to everyone in the N.C. Cancer Hospital! May the future only keep getting brighter.

When my colon cancer was discovered in 2001, I was given a 50/50 chance of survival for more than five years. Due to the great team of doctors and nurses that provided chemo, radiation, and surgery, I am still alive and well. I am indebted to them for my life.

It means so much to me when you have concerned people who share their health issues with you and they understand totally. It’s very meaningful to know that you don’t have to go far to a Cancer Center. Hopefully, I will never have to experienced this, but my Mom and Sister did and my Mom didn’t survive. My sister has been in remission for over 25 years…what a Blessing. So very glad you’re here….

Betty H.

Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the N.C. Cancer Hospital. I am so glad I live in Chapel Hill and have the availability of excellent medical care in the event I will need it. Also, I feel cancer research is extremely important to making inroads to insure that those with cancer can live longer and healthier lives.

Susan M.

The Mary Claire Satterly Pediatric Playroom is an amazing place built in the memory of an amazing friend. She passed away right before the opening of the hospital from AML. That room hopefully brightens the days of so many kids just like MC’s spirit. We miss her, love her always and are so thankful her legacy lives on at the hospital!

Julie G.

You helped heal my father-in-law with a rare form of cancer which no other hospital seemed capable to do. We are forever thankful that his “6 months to live” became much, much longer!
