At UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, our work is guided by a clear and urgent purpose: to reduce the burden of cancer through discovery, innovation and exceptional patient care.

Every day, our teams across laboratories, clinics and communities are advancing progress, translating scientific discovery into new therapies, expanding access to leading-edge clinical trials and delivering compassionate, multidisciplinary care to patients and families across North Carolina and beyond. What makes this work possible is the strength of our community and our shared commitment to collaboration.

As a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center, we are distinctly positioned at the intersection of research and care. Our scientists, clinicians and trainees work together across disciplines to accelerate new ideas, challenge assumptions and bring forward the next generation of cancer treatments.

Equally important is our commitment beyond the walls of our institution—to prevention, education and clinical outreach that improves health across the communities we serve. I am continually inspired by the dedication, expertise and compassion of our faculty, staff, trainees and community advocates.
