Patient and Family Advisory Council
The Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a group of volunteer patients, family members, caregivers and staff that works together to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.
The Advisory Council was created to work alongside staff and administration by involving patients and families in care decisions and using their voices in teaching, quality improvement projects, development of new programs, and more.
If you’re interested in joining PFAC, here are some requirements to keep in mind:
- Serving for at least a 2 years
- Completing the UNC Health Care volunteer training program
- Sharing your experiences in a positive and thoughtful manner
- Committing to 2 or more hours a month
